If you missed it, it was great.
http://mediamatters.org/items/200609240002
Cinton appeared on Fox News to be interviewed by Chris Wallace who was supposed to ask him about his recent charity work but instead started questioning him about whether or not Clinton did enough about bin Laden. Questions those pitiful little lapdog "reporters" never ask the almighty Bush administration. It's bullshit.
And I'm not saying this because I'm a Democrat, because I dont like to discuss my political affiliations anyway. I'm saying this because I've been following politics closely since I was a little kid and I remember what they did to Clinton. I remember how angry the greedy millionaires and oil tycoons who now run this country got when Clinton, who in a break from Reagan and the first Bush and since then, the second Bush, took away their privileges. Instead of bending over for them - and forcing the middle class to bend over for them like they do now - and letting them take control of the country via tax breaks and a variety of tax loopholes and so on, he shut them out and made them play by the same rules as everyone else. And they were furious because the world was no longer their bitch. Bravo I say. Good show! But it was on from there. The rich assholes of the country were out to get him and they couldnt find anything legitimately damning so they impeached him for Monica and they went against every little thing he tried to do. Including trying to capture bin Laden. Clinton's not perfect, but he did try to get bin Laden (which this joker has yet to do) and he had to fight an angry, bitter and crooked Republic controlled Congress to do so. Clinton mentioned this in his recent Fox appearance, but I remember it as well. They said: "No war for Monica!" In response in his plans to attack al Quaida and kill bin Laden. They were outraged, the accused him of being obsessed with bin Laden, who, at the time, only Clinton and Richard Clarke, (who the Bush administration demoted) believed was a threat to the US. No one would listen, the same Republicans that lie through their teeth - all the while depending on the sheer ignorance of the average American who are too stupid to call them on their lies - accusing Clinton of not doing enough to fight bin Laden are the same people who at the time fought him tooth and nail in his efforts to get him. I just cant stand injustice, I cant stand lies and I cant stand assholes. And that is why I tend to not like Republicans and why I am so happy Clinton exposed Chris Wallace and those jerks at Fox for the scum that they are. They're just stewing right now and I think it's magnigicent!
Here's a link to a discussion and a full transcript of the show from Media Matters:
http://mediamatters.org/items/200609240002

I know, if it weren't for the icy cold jug of Tuscan Whole Milk I was clinging to on my way to Mars I would've become over heated and dehydrated for sure. Then when I got to Mars, I was able to grow my own Tuscan Whole Milk tree simply by planting the empty jug. We even named our flourishing Martian colony after this very special liquid to which we owe our lives. From the beginning, the milk was a savior as the native Martians would've made mincemeat of us for sure if we hadn't been able to offer up such a valuable peace offering as Tuscan Whole Milk. Currently, a committee comprised of native and new Martians are discussing which branch of our new government will be ruled by Tuscan Whole Milk and then we will discuss renaming the planet from Mars to Tuscan. Of course there is some resistance as older people often have trouble adapting to new ideas.

What's your story? They've been working to get it on the ballot for some time now. If Prop. 204 passes, factory farmers will be required to hold their animals in slightly larger cages. Right now they're in cages that are about as big as their bodies. So, read on for a little more info and VOTE YES ON PROP 204 On November 7 and prevent NEEDLESS animal cruelty.

I dont know why anyone would want to deny simple comfort to helpless animals. But everyday across Arizona, thousands of pigs suffer hideous confinement on profit-driven, corporate-owned factory farms.

Arizona farmers have a long tradition of raising animals in a humane manner. But the states family farmers have been pushed out by massive industrialized factories, where animals suffer tremendously confined in crates so small they cant even turn around.

On November 7, by voting YES on Proposition 204, we can help protect Arizonas family farming heritage and prevent animal cruelty. Proposition 204 would simply require that breeding pigs and veal calves on factory farms have enough room to turn around, lie down, and extend their limbs.

Visit the YES on 204 campaigns website www.YesForHumaneFarms.org and pass it along to friends and family so they, too, can help save Arizonas tradition of humane family farming and protect animals suffering on industrialized factory farms.

P.S. November will be here in no time so if you havent yet registered to vote, please do so now at https://servicearizona.com/webapp/evoter/. The deadline for voter registration is October 9.

I can't stop thinking about an AP article I read today about how a jilted bride-to-be dealt with her situation. After discovering her fiance and boyfriend of four years was cheating on her, she called off the wedding, fired the band, the caterers, etc., She found, however, that she was unable to get a refund on the rooms and reception space. But instead of losing out on the money, she and her mother turned the reception into a charity event (!) One of my first thoughts after reading this story was of my own pessimism and inability to deal with tough situations effectively. My goal in life is to be optimistic, unselfish and an effective problem solver even in the midst of crises. And I think this story is such a great example of those qualities. My next thought was a question of how I would've dealt with this situation if I were her. I can't help but think that at best, I would end up holding a party in place of the reception, but a small one - for my girlfriends. That would be my way of saving face and getting my mind off things. But then again, you only need to save face for people that think badly of you. I'm not one to save face because of the contempt I have for people that think badly of me and I don't care what they think. Furthermore, I know that people just think about themselves most of the time anyway. I really think (and this is what makes me sad about myself and so amazed with this story) that I would've just argued with the hotel people, written a few letters to try and get my money back, but ultimately I would've just cut my losses and tried to move on, embittered to the extreme - no doubt. I certainly wouldn't have been able to maintain a charitable mindset towards others in the midst of all my personal pain. Then my next thought was about what an idiot the groom is. He cheated on her despite how amazing she is. Men, (not ALL) are SO stupid. Even I'd marry her just so that her influence would make me a better person. But my last thought -- the thought that made me want to post this blog -- was that this is a universal story. The bride's brand of strength and wisdom in dealing with her situation could be emulated by anyone in any challenging or painful situation. Anyway - read below: (it's short)

VERGENNES, Vt. - A woman who learned six weeks before her wedding that her fiance was cheating on her is turning her would-be reception into a charity benefit.
“I’m really just trying to turn it around and make something positive out of it,” said Kyle Paxman.
Paxman, 29, had planned to celebrate her nuptials at the Basin Harbor Club on Lake Champlain on Saturday. When she found out about her fiance, she called off the 180-guest wedding and the four-year relationship.
She and her mother canceled the band, photographer and florist, but learned they would not be reimbursed for the reception and block of rooms they had reserved. So they turned the reception into a benefit for the Vermont Children’s Aid Society and CARE USA, an international relief organization that aims to combat poverty by empowering women.
They sent out invitations to 125 women for drinks and a gourmet four-course dinner. In exchange, they hope the guests will make donations to the charities.
She and her mother canceled the band, photographer and florist, but learned they would not be reimbursed for the reception and block of rooms they had reserved. I am working here temporarily as a reporter with a little bit of podcasting. The experience has been wonderful and I have learned a lot. The only drawback is the fact that I have been sick on and off almost the whole summer. Nonetheless, I had a wonderful time. San Francisco is amazing. Of course, my only regret is not having done nearly enough during my time here. However, I do plan to return. I am from Tempe, Ariz. originally, grew up in Mesa, Ariz. Don't ever go to Mesa by the way, it is pretty much a wasteland. The people I grew up with and were friends with were fabulous, for the most part, but there really is no reason to go there unless you have family there.
My time in San Francisco has made that just that much clearer. I am in grad. school for journalism at ASU and I have one semester left. After that, as I mentioned I plan on coming back to San Francisco for a job. OK, that is all for now.
